Sustainability is complex and articulated theme, difficult to summarize in a few parameters or, even, in a series of standard and repeatable procedures as if it was a recipe. Sustainability involves first of all to observe the environment, its characteristics, its criticality and its responses. Each terroir – meant as a sum of territory, climate and human factor – represents a unicum with which the human being must interact, taking into account the different realities through their characteristic traits, always different and always surprising.
That is why the production choice based on biological cultivation is certainly a precious ally, but it is not the only useful aspect to respond to the need for sustainability that the Planet is increasingly demanding.
The multifaceted concept of sustainability passes through many variables, such as the protection of biodiversity, the correct processing of soils, the management of water resources and the reduction of waste.
These and many other factors are still based on a very important principle of social responsibility, which can bring benefits both to agricultural practice and to human livability.
Not only agriculture and winery practices, because being able to shape a real environmental sustainability project, needs 360° care capable of involving countless activities. An eye on the environment and one on development – economic, social, food and environmental – in defining a synergy that proceeds in harmonious agreement between the human being and the territory that hosts it. This is the challenge of our work, this is the objective of our commitment. But, above all, this is what our current and future projects will be based on, to begin charting the path of that sustainability to be built in daily cooperation with everyone.
